![]() You cannot turn off DEP for this program."Īpparently the system is being a ♥♥♥♥♥, so I just straight up turned off DEP through Command Prompt in an effort to get this to work, here's the screenshot of the DEP screen turned off. When I try to add it to the exception list I get another error saying "This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. I selected "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:" then I was prompted to add the. I went on a search for information about this system and found that DEP causes a lot of problems for people when it comes to executables and whatnot especially games.īy default DEP is set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" I would figure that that means it probably doesn't apply to a game such as Darkest Dungeon but I chose the other option in hopes that it would somehow help me. It prompted me to figure out this whole BEX thing and I learned that BEX errors are usually caused by DEP or something called Data Execution Prevention. This is the only useful information I have as to why I crash I believe. If I click "View problem details" I am met with this sweet stuff.Īdditional Information 2:Đf835c98dfad0b9799bfa65d438b9370Īdditional Information 4: f9436a7868b61a2451de31be78a22641 If I click "Check online for a solution and close the program" it tries to figure something before its figurative head explodes from this not making any sense and then just closes with nothing to say about it. When I run Darkest Dungeon it instant crashes and comes up with this error message. I've also looked up everything and anything I could about the crash and have come up with nothing, so that's why I'm here. I've reinstalled/repaired VCRedist multiple times, didn't matter. I've repaired/reinstalled my amd video driver, didn't matter. ![]() I've made sure that Steam Overlay is turned off, didn't matter. I have tried using -size 1280 720, -skip_opengl_check, and -disablevideo none of them changed anything. So I'll start things off with saying that I have tried each and every work around posted on the main forum multple times to no avail. I've seen multiple posts with my exact problem and on each and every one of them there have been zero responses from anyone. So I've been fighting this for the last few hours and then some this morning when the game went live, needless to say it's pretty infuriating. ![]()
